My Soul Thanks the Raven Queen

Quintilla selected this song to play at the Grand Opening of the new hospital. The story behind it is this, as explained to Ember:

“It’s sort of an unusual little song. I know it because a halfling cleric of Avandra from my region of Morass wrote it. He once had a near-death experience, and as he lay dying he had a vision of the Raven Queen looming over him with her hand extended to take his. But before he could reach for it, Avandra appeared and negotiated with the Raven Queen to let the cleric keep his life a little longer. In the end, the Raven Queen decided she really didn’t need him yet, so he could stay alive. After his experience, he sort of added the Raven Queen to his devotions, and ended up writing a song about it, which is all about being grateful to her for not really wanting him and about having a good relationship with the gods in the hope that the Raven Queen can occasionally be lenient. It’s an odd song, but it’s optimistic, so I thought maybe it would be a good selection.”
